Born and raised in New York, Michael’s passion for cooking developed during his childhood as he enjoyed fresh produce from the family garden, and from-scratch pasta dishes every Sunday with his mother. He began working in restaurants at the young age of 14. Michael attended the Institute of Culinary Education, and upon graduation continued honing his skills. He spent time at highly regarded catering companies such as Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs and Mary Giuliani Catering & Events where his culinary creations were enjoyed by high-end clients, celebrities and well-known brands.
He began working for Cater To You in 2012 as the sous chef at The Nightingale-Bamford School and then became Chef/Manager at the Abraham Joshua Heschel School. Today, Michael oversees all culinary projects from recipe development and implementation, to catering standards, and more.
Since working for Cater To You, Michael has been engaged in not only creating an excellent dining experience, but simultaneously supporting local agriculture. He believes that simple, honest food can be beautiful and delicious.
